There are a lot of things to consider when thinking about your website design.  The first and most important thing is: What do you want the website to do?  Is this going to be an ecommerce website (where you are selling goods or services), a business card website (for promoting yourself or your business), a lead capture website (to build your business), or is it going to be a combination of these.  Just remember, the days of having a website just to have a website are over.  The technology is too powerful to just let sit there.  There are so many opportunities to make money on the Internet that while you are in the midst of designing your website you shouldn’t ever stop thinking about “How is this going to make me money?!?”  Keep that in mind and you’ll find a lot of your questions are answered before you even have to ask them.
So where to start?
When thinking about your new website design remember that you are an individual and differentiation is what drives customers.  You don’t want to look like another site (especially if they are in a similar business) because you want to stand out from your competition.  You want something unique to stick in the prospects mind so that when it comes to them laying down their credit card, they think of you first.  You also want to be true to yourself.  If you like pink don’t be shy about having some on your site, just remember, keep bright colors in moderation.  You don’t want to end up making it look like some cheap website design.  You want a professional website design look and feel, this will help inspire trust.
Balancing price and functionality.
Affordable website design is out there.  So is the best website design for you.  These two things do not always go hand in hand.  Don’t get caught in the trap of getting a cheap website and thinking that it’s going to make you a ton of money.  I’m not saying it’s impossible, but like the old saying goes:  “You get what you pay for.”  On the other hand, don’t get stuff that you don’t need just because it looks cool.  Having some flash animation on your site looks very nice, but it can’t be read by the Google spiders and they’ll often pass right by your site because of it.  If you’re looking for as much SEO as possible, stay away from flash.
Stick with what you know.
If you’re a dynamite real estate agent, don’t try to create your own website design.  Would you counsel a web designer to be their own Realtor®?  Find a real estate website design company that you can trust, give them as much information and background on what you’re looking for as you can, and make sure, above all else, that your communication with them is clear and consice.  They probably are not mind readers, make sure that if you want something included that they know you want it included.

Looking to build the best lead capturing page?: Then you are on the right track. There is no doubt about it! To have a highly effective lead capturing landing page will dramatically improve your Internet marketing dollars! You must spend money on a compelling lead capturing systems to make money. (We will discuss A/B split tests due to its criticality)

So first of all, I want to discuss landing pages that capture leads. Landing pages that are used in pay per click must be highly compelling. And put this in the back of your mind, “you must manage that lead when it does come in!”

First question for you: What lead capturing software do you use? Are you converting those leads? Are you having to do double entry? Does your send out letters? Let me help you with what I’ve learned and experienced. ( hands on experience – to answer these questions)

Now, pay per click (PPC) is what it sounds like.. You pay per each visitor that clicks on your site. Now, this can be very expensive… if not done properly. Or it can be a great source of clients for your future revenue. But you’ve got to do it right!

Let’s discuss how to optimize your landing page and convert that client to dollars. Then at the end, I will initiate a discussion on what systems will email drip, send out letters and keep in constant contact with your client.

Landing pages are for the human aspect and not for the spiders. These pages are merely window dressing to you main site. That means this.. make it very graphically appealing. The landing page(s) should be one page or a few pages but point to one particular action. This action is typically to fill out a web form.

So, let me start off with a bullet of information to discuss on lead capturing:

  1. Compelling content: Are you a great writer? Do you know how to persuade visitors to respond? Well, let me give you some insider access: Use words like these: you, love, discovery, today, good, great, proven profit, guarantee, safe, comfort, results, passion, sleek, unique, savvy, free, convenient, low cost, tested in your sells copy. When you do this you hit the psyche of your visitor. You see, it’s not about you, its all about your visitor.
  2. Color scheme: Creating a lead capturing page is not so difficult as long as you follow a few key principals. The most important thing is the background color.. Don’t get too funky… stay with the traditional black font on white background. It’s been tested time and time again. It has the best conversion rates. And, limit your page to 3 colors. If there is too many colors, you may lose your visitor. Remember, your main focus is to have them do the action step you need to have them do.
  3. Design and layout: Keep it simple! Have a Headline that captures their attention. For example: ” The 10 things you need to know about surfing in big waves!” That’ll make someone want to continue reading.. Have the web form right in the hotspot of your site. Typically on the first leaf of the page. See this web site design company for a one lead design.
  4. Some type of offer: Are you offering a solution? Then make an ebook. But, offer the first solution should be for FREE. Having the ebook is a great upsell.
  5. Delivery: If you are going to offer a free service, information, etc.. then you need to have that product in their hands within moments. You must strike when the iron is hot. Masterdigm CRM software offers a trigger based email campaign solution that will do just that.
  6. Split testing: After you design the lead capturing landing page, you will want to build another web site almost identically, except a different sells copy. Your objective: To beat out your previous websites conversion rate. Make sense? Then once you find the best lead capturing web site, create another split test and try to beat that one. (tricks of the trade)
